Betting Prediction:
The Seattle Dragons are clearly underdogs in their first XFL game. Brandon Silvers is expected to start at QB. He played college football for Troy and went undrafted in 2018. He played for the Memphis Express before being on the practice squad for the New York Jets. He is a big quarterback who is not very mobile and perhaps, that is why he did not make it in the NFL. In his 4 years at Troy University, Silvers passed for 10,677 yards with a 64.4% completion rating. He ended his college career with a passing rating of 135.8. The real star on the team is called Will Sutton who played for the Bears before getting hurt in 2016. Then, he had unsucessful periods in San Francisco and Minnesota before being released.
The DC Defenders are one of the most interesting sides to watch, at least for me. Cardale Jones will be their starting QB and he is probably the guy with the most success on a professional and college level. He helped Ohio State win the National Championship a few years ago and then he was drafted in the 4th round. Many people predicted a great future for him but things did not turn out well for him. He will also have the help of Rashad Ross who is a great talent. He went undrafted in 2013 and changed places for a while before taking the spot as a returner and receiver for the Washington Redskins. He also led the AAF in 2018 with 7 touchdowns.
I believe this is a great mismatch. DC is by far the better side and anything but a dominating win for them will come as a surprise.
