In the Super Bowl LIV, we will see San Francisco 49ers at Kansas City Chiefs.
Betting Prediction:
The big game finally arrived. The 49ers and the Chiefs will certainly offer the entertainment that we need. A big turnout is expected for this event mainly because these two teams have not been champions for a long time. The Chiefs even got crowned for the last time before there even was a Super Bowl.
The San Francisco 49ers finished the regular season 13-3 with losses only to the Falcons, Ravens and the Seahawks. They went through the two teams they faced this postseason with ease. Minnesota managed to score just 10 points, even though the Vikings were at full strength with Adam Thielen and Dalvin Cook. The Packers, on the other side, scored 20 but the 49ers overcame this number by scoring 37. Jimmy Garoppolo was not even needed in this particular game, having to throw the football 8 times(and he completed 6 of them) for 77 yards. RB Raheem Mostart had an amazing outing as he finished with 220 rushing yards on 29 carries for 4 touchdowns.
The 49ers’ rushing game will certainly be needed in this one as we all know that the Chiefs can’t defend against the rush. Kyle Shanahan has already been in one Super Bowl as an offensive coordinator for Atlanta and he knows what is expected of him at the helm.
The Kansas City Chiefs finished the regular season with a 12-4 record. They had a mini crisis in mid-season where they lost 4 out of 6 games and the losses were brutal. They came against Indianapolis, Houston, Tennessee and Green Bay. The road to the Super Bowl was interesting for the Chiefs. They had to overcome a 24-0 deficit against the Texans in the divisional round. Then, they had to stop Derrick Henry and beat the Titans. I believe this was their trademark game this season. Doing what they did against this force on the ground was special. Derrick Henry was held to just 69 rushing yards and a touchdown on 19 carries. Ryan Tannehill was asked to throw the football 31 times and he completed 21 of his passes. However, the Titans did not play their game since they did not use the ground attack.
Andy Reid is an offensive mastermind and Patrick Mahomes is the best quarterback in football but Shanahan is by far the better head coach. The 49ers won’t get ahead of themselves and they control the clock, run the ball efficiently while the defense will match up physically and Mahomes will feel the pressure from the first minute.
Pick: San Francisco 49ers +1 (-110) Spread at
