The Middle Tennessee Blue Riders started off the season pretty badly. They conceded two losses in the first two weeks of the campaign, scoring 7 and allowing 44.5 points per game. It is valid to say that they had to face Troy and Army who are decent college programs but their performance was also subpar. QB Asher O’Hara has just 155 passing yards, 0 touchdowns, and 3 interceptions. He is also the team’s leading rusher with 63 yards on 24 carries.
UTSA started the season with two wins and even though, they were not against high-profile schools, these are still two wins. In week 1, they managed to beat Texas State while in week 2 they saw off Stephen F. Austin. QB Frank Harris is completing 69% of his throws for 438 yards, 2 touchdowns, and 1 interception while RB Sincere McCormick is adding 295 yards on the ground.
UTSA is solid this season, even though they failed to cover the 17-point spread in week 1 and needed overtime in week 2. I don’t like any of these two teams this season but Middle Tennessee’s offense is awful, so I can’t really bet on it.
