Betting Prediction:
Miles Mikolas will make first postseason appearance on Thursday in game one against the Braves. He had a nice September and he looks like the best pitcher they have at the moment. Even though he started the year very badly, he rebounded and finished with a 4.16 ERA and a 1.22 WHIP. St. Louis is a very inconsistent team and it barely made the playoffs. The Cardinals averaged 4.72 runs per game this season but they are also a 41-40 road team.
The experienced Dallas Keuchel was not very consistent throughout the year finishing with an 8-8 record in 112 innings but he will start in game 1 for the Atlanta Braves. Freddie Freeman will be the key guy on offense as he has played very well against the Cardinals this season. He is posting a .381 average with three RBI’s.
The Cardinals have been so inconsistent that I do not see them getting more than 1 game in this series. The Braves have been very good all year long and Dallas Keuchel is certainly the better pitcher.
