The Pittsburgh Steelers are battling for a playoff spot and this is a must-win game for them. The team is in a tough position as it lost its last 2 games against the Bills and against the Jets. The offense struggled in both games and ‘the Duck’ was replaced by Mason Rudolph. The Steelers are very well coached and the defense got exceptionally better this year. Without its efforts, the team would not have even been close to what it achieved. Overall, Pittsburgh is scoring 18 points per game and allowing nearly the same amount on defense.
The Baltimore Ravens are thought to be one of the best teams in the entire NFL, if not the best, at the moment. However, they are heading towards this game without Lamar Jackson and their starting running back. Most of their offensive pieces will also take a rest, so they can be prepared when the playoffs start. They would also want to protect their defensive players from injuries and it is not expected for most of them to play. Of course, we can talk about the Ravens’ statistics and records this year but none of this will matter on Sunday because most of the people who achieved all of this won’t be participating.
The Steelers’ defense is one of the best this year and I believe that the Baltimore’s backups will struggle big time in this one. This should be a close game but the Steelers will make just enough plays to come out on top, having in mind all of the absences on the opposition’s side.
