Betting Prediction:
The St. Louis Battlehawks had a great outing in week 1. They managed to chew the clock, using the run game. They ran for nearly 200 yards and prevented Dallas from having any big gains. We will see if that is a part of the identity of this team or just a coincidence but at the moment things are looking great for the Battlehawks. QB Jordan Ta’amu finished the game with 209 passing yards, 1 touchdown and 74% completion of the throws. He also helped with 77 rushing yards when he scrambled while RB Matt Jones is the league’s leading rusher with 85 yards on 21 carries.
The Houston Roughnecks, on the other side, showed a great potential. This was by far the best QB performance out of all of the QBs that played in week 1. P.J. Walker was just sensational, completing 59$ of his throws for 272 yards, 4 touchdowns and only 1 interception. He managed to get everyone going and he completed passes to at least 5 different receivers- 3 of them for 4 times or more. He clearly knows how to get the best out of his teammates and if he continues to do that, he will establish himself as the best QB in this league. This will actually be a big achievement, considering the fact that he is playing in a league with Landry Jones and Cardale Jones.
This is probably the toughest game to predict this week because the spread is very big, both teams get victories last week and the Battlehawks’ clock management is great. Despite all that, I believe that the Roughnecks will get the job done at home confidently and they will continue on a high note as they did last week.
