The Houston Astros finally managed to get a win in the World Series and now they are one victory away from tying the result. In all of the 3 games Houston and Washington played, an early lead for Houston was achieved. In game 3, the Astros finally had the pitching that enabled them to keep the advantage and secure the W. Houston will rely solely on their bullpen in game 4. Rookie pitcher Urquidy will lead the way and the only other time the Astros used this, they won the crucial game 6 against the Yankees.
On the other side we have Corbin and the Nationals at home. He has been performing very well this postseason with only one devastating game and it was against the Dodgers. In game 1 of the World Series, Corbin held the Astros to just 1 hit during his sixth inning relief outing. The last time he started was in the NLCS game 4 where he gave up 4 runs.
The Nationals’ batting abilities are just on another level. I expect Washington to bounce back in style against a team that is underperforming and that won’t use his star pitchers. Instead, they will lean on the bullpen.
