The Colorado Rockies had one of the best offenses in the regular season, however, they scored just 2 runs in the wild card game and 2 runs in the overtime loss against the Brewers. With this being said, they scored 4 runs in 23 innings which is very low. Tyler Anderson will start the second game for the Rockies and he is 7-9 on the season.
Brewers’ outfielder Christian Yelich was perhaps the most dominant hitter in the MLB this season. It will be really interesting to see him bat against Anderson on Friday. Jhoulys Chacin is expected to start as their pitcher. He won 15 out of his 23 games as a starter for Milwaukee this year, even though most of the wins were due to their bullpen. In fact, they rotated their bullpen in game 1 and this looked like a very good decision until the last inning when the Rockies scored 2 runs.
In the ninth inning, there have been few closers in recent years with more postseason experience than the Rockies’ Wade Davis. I expect the Rockies to bounce back from the narrow win in game 1 and make up for it with a win on Friday.
