In a game from NCAA Football Week 12, we will see Boise State at New Mexico.
Betting Prediction:
Boise State will be visiting a New Mexico side that is underperforming this year. Boise State had an interesting game against the 23rd ranked Fresno State last week when their quarterback Brett Rypien finished with 269 passing yards while running back Alexander Mattison added 143 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns. Fresno State has one of the best defenses in the country and they haven’t allowed many touchdowns in conference play.
New Mexico just lost their 5 straight game after falling to Air Force by 18 points on Saturday. The Lobos’ defense was nowhere to be found in this one as well, allowing 624 total yards. The Lobos finished with just 119 rushing yards with Daevon Vigilant recording 67 on his resume. Their offense is mostly being led by their running back duo which is averaging 163 per contest while the quarterback play is inconsistent.
Given the fact that the Boise State Broncos are boasting one of the best defenses in college football, I can’t see New Mexico hanging around for long in this game. The Broncos have enough on offense to see off the Lobos and their defense will also prevent them from having big gains. I expect them to shut down the run completely and make Sheriron Jones pass the football, making them a one-dimensional team.
