The Minnesota Vikings signed Kirk Cousins in the summer for a reason. They want to get over the hump and things have been going well for them in recent weeks if we exclude their contest against the Saints. The Saints are currently rolling on offense and they will certainly be a Super Bowl contender and the Vikings allowed 30 points against them while beating Detroit after that, giving them just 9 points. Latavius Murray and Dalvin Cook are playing very well while Cousins has added 2685 passing yards, 17 touchdowns, and 5 interceptions so far.
The Bears are playing well on offense this year, being ranked 5th in points scored with 30 per game. Their defense is also playing very well. We should have in mind that Chicago has played against second-tier offenses such as the Bills’, Jets’ and Cards’. They had a hard time keeping Tom Brady away from the red zone and New England scored 38 in that one.
We all know that Cousins is not Brady but the offense he’s been running is very good and Adam Thielen is having an exceptional season. I expect this to be a close game but I cannot imagine Mitch Trubisky without any problems throwing the football against one of the better defenses in football. Minnesota can cause the upset here if the defense can hold Trubisky quiet and I think they are capable of doing that.
