Betting Prediction:
The Houston Astros could not beat the Tampa Bay Rays last time out and it comes down to this game if they do not want to extend the series back to Houston. Justin Verlander will start in this one and he continues to be one of the best pitchers in the game. He earned a win in game 1 against Tampa Bay in the playoffs, allowing no runs on one hit with 8 strikeouts.
Tampa Bay was 0-2 before winning a crucial game 3 with many homeruns since early in the game. They put up many points early on and then it was hard for Houston to compensate the deficit. Diego Castillo will start for the third time this postseason on a short rest. He was 5-8 in the regular season and he is 0-1 in the postseason. Game 2 against Houston does not count because he was a reliever in the last innings of the game.
It is expected Castillo to be replaced in the latter innings of the game and Chirinos and Yarbrough will take his place but I believe that Verlander will get the early lead and the Astros won’t lose it.
