The Alabama Crimson Tide have had one of their most interesting seasons in a lot of years. Head coach Nick Saban decided to go from hard and smash-mouth football to explosive offense that can outscore anybody. The Alabama team is 3rd in points per game with 49.5 points and 6th in passing yards with 347.7 yards. QB Mac Jones does not separate from the pack with anything but he is a great system quarterback who is completing 76.4% of his passes for 3321 yards, 27 touchdowns, and 3 interceptions.
Florida was considered as a playoff contender before last week’s loss to LSU. They are no longer in the contention but they’ve shown that they are a team we should not underestimate. The Gators have the best passing offense in college football led by QB Kyle Trask who is completing over 70% of his throws for 3717 yards, 40 touchdowns, and 5 interceptions.
This looks like a game destined to be a shootout. The over/under mark, however, is a bit high and I won’t risk betting on it. Even though Florida is a great offensive team, they showed that they are capable of losing games we don’t expect them to. This is an inexperienced team that Nick Saban will exploit to the max. Let’s not forget that coach Saban is still a great defensive mastermind.
