Clemson is in huge need of a win against Notre Dame. QB Trevor Lawrence missed the first outing between these two teams and that’s why Clemson lost 47-40. I expect them to be a lot more motivated here with Lawrence leading the offense and the defense can finally have a break and not just spend ¾ of the game on the field. The Tigers are scoring 46 points per game and allowing just 18.3 points.
Notre Dame is still unbeaten and this is one of their best rosters in their whole program over the past couple of years. RB Kyren Williams is averaging over 100 rushing yards per game and he already has 12 touchdowns. QB Ian Book is a bit limited in terms of throwing but he does not make any mistakes. He is completing 63.3% of his passes for 2382 yards, 15 touchdowns, and 2 interceptions.
As much as I like Notre Dame, Clemson is probably going to win this easier than we expect. The Fighting Irish are not that good on defense and this will allow QB Lawrence to go for big gains in a match that he would like to shine ahead of the NFL Draft.
