The Wake Forest Demon Deacons have won just one ACC Conference game so far this year and they also lost QB Sam Hartman due to a leg injury. They had problems keeping the football in their last game against Syracuse as they turned the ball over 3 times. Eventually, that resulted in a 41-24 loss. Wake Forest is averaging 32.3 points per game and it is allowing 25.5 points.
NC State is already eligible for a bowl game, owning a winning record in the ACC Conference. Except for the Clemson game, they are scoring in bunches but realistically I cannot think of any team that can score big against them. Ryan Finley threw for 240 yards with 3 touchdowns in NC State’s 47-28 home win over Florida State. NC State’s offense is currently averaging 33 points per game and they should try to take advantage of the sloppy Wake Forest’s defense that is allowing 494 total yards per game and 37.2 points.
I expect this to be a high scoring game but given the fact that Sam Hartman won’t be playing, I expect Wake Forest to struggle on offense and we all know that their defense can’t contain the good NC State’s receivers.
