Betting Prediction:
Louisville against Syracuse looks like a lopsided affair to me. Louisville’s offense is dead last on offense in the ACC and they lost by 77-16 to a Clemson side that dominates almost every team in the NCAAF. Clemson had three players that rushed for over 100 yards. The Louisville’s defense just couldn’t contain them. Things don’t get much easier for the Cardinals who will be facing a side that is averaging 43.3 points per game.
Syracuse is emerging as a dark horse team in this year’s competition. They quietly climbed back to top-25 with three consecutive wins. Even though they lost to Pittsburgh, they were just 5 points away from knocking off Clemson which would’ve been devastating for the Tigers’ aspirations. Eric Dungey tossed 411 passing yards and three touchdowns on North Carolina State last week and he also added 119 yards on the ground. They are currently the 2nd ranked offense in the ACC and they should continue their good performances against Louisville.
The lack of consistency at the quarterback position for Louisville is no good for the team and given the fact that they will face a defense with 27 sacks on the season will prove to be real mismatch. I expect this to be another long and disappointing night for the Cardinals, failing to cover the spread.
