Clemson is walking towards their third consecutive final appearance. They beat Wake Forest 37-13 in week 1 and Citadel 49-0 in week 2. Trevor Lawrence was asked to throw the football only 9 times and he tore the defense up for 168 yards and a TD. They scored all of their points during the first two quarters and they did not even play the second half.
Clemson have every right to believe that they can hammer another opponent. Virginia is far better than Citadel but still, the Tigers are most probably the best team in college and Trevor Lawrence is the best QB prospect since Andrew Luck. The issues Virginia had on defense will definitely not help them and they will be in for a long afternoon.
