The Los Angeles Chargers started the season with a narrow win over the Bengals and have lost two straight since then. Tyrod Taylor got injured against the Chiefs and Justin Herbert had to replace him as a QB. He is playing really well, controlling the downs like a veteran but he has trouble in the red zone. He threw the ball 49 times last Sunday and managed to score just one touchdown.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are on the opposite side, winning two straight. They destroyed the Panthers and the Broncos consecutively and everything is currently falling for them. Tom Brady is playing very well with his new teammates while the rush defense Tampa has is just on another level. They did not allow big yardage to Melvin Gordon, Alvin Kamara, and Christian McCaffrey and these are three of the top running backs in the league.
With this being said, I expect a tough outing for Herbert. He will again be asked to throw the football a lot because the running game will not be helping him at all. He will make some mistakes and will not be able to convert on third downs and near the end zone. Chargers will have to settle for field goals while Tom Brady will be scoring touchdowns.
