In a game from NCAAF Week 6, we will see Tulsa Golden Hurricane at Houston Cougars.
Tulsa suffered their third straight defeat when they visited Temple 2 weeks ago. Tulsa had 5 turnovers, leading to a pair of Temple touchdowns. Tulsa outscored their opponents in total offense by 403-300 yards, even though they lost. The Golden Hurricane are 106th in passing offense with 181 yards per game but they are better on the ground with 209.5 yards per game. They’re averaging 24 points per game and allowing 28.8 points. Luke Skipper is 68 of 116 passing for 716 yards with four touchdowns and six interceptions while adding 156 yards plus a score on the ground.
Houston also had a bye week but before that they dismantled Texas Southern as they led by 42-0 at half-time. They outscored them in total offense by 671-338 yards and racked up 36 first downs. The Cougars are 5th in passing in the FBS while adding 251.5 yards on the ground(15th). Defensively, however, things don’t look this good with 30.5 points allowed per contest. D’Eriq King completed 84 of 134 passes for 1197 yards which is good for 15 touchdowns and an interception.
Houston have one of the best offenses in the FBS this season. Their only loss was in a shootout against Texas Tech- 63-49. You simply can’t expect the Tulsa defense to be able to contain Houston’s weapons in this one. The Cougars should roll to the victory in this one to improve to 4-1.
