Troy is just coming off a narrow overtime loss against Austin Peay. This loss snapped their 2-game winning streak. Forwards Jordon Varnado who is leading scorer with 16.1 points and 8.3 rebounds per game and Javan Johnson (11.0 ppg) led the way with a team-high 14 points each against Austin Peay.
Florida State lost to Villanova a week ago but then the team bounced back against another reputable opponent- Purdue. The 14th ranked Seminoles finished this monster stretch and now they will face more likable opponents in the next few weeks. The Seminoles showed great character against LSU and Purdue but they will certainly want to finish this game earlier than the previous ones as they needed to go on a 9-0 run to beat Purdue.
Florida State is the much more talented squad and they will for sure be ranked in the top 10 at the end of the year. They met tough opponents so far and I believe that this gave them so much experience that they will take it all out on Troy.
