Toledo was about to face Western Michigan as undefeated in the conference this season in the season finale but they lost to Ohio two weeks ago. They got their swagger back by beating Akron 45-17 last week and now they are looking to improve to 8-2. Woodside has been sensational since the start of the season, throwing at least 3 touchdown passes in each of the nine games he has played so far.
Ever since Maddie entered as the starting quarterback for the NIU, their season turned the corner. NIU lost its first four games but then Maddie came in with a passer rating of 127.59 and running for at least 90 yards per game.
