Akron started well against Toledo after Woodson found Jerome Lane for a touchdown early in the game but then they went almost scoreless and were defeated 45-17. They allowed 622 yards which was the most conceded by them this season. They let Toledo convert on third down situations, making it more difficult for themselves.
