Texas A&M looks really spectacular this season. They are 6-1 and their only loss came against Alabama in week 2. Since then, they have beaten Florida and LSU with their balanced offensive play. The team is doing a great job of both passing and running the football while the defense is able to keep the other teams away. QB Kellen Mond is completing nearly 60% of his passes for 1573 yards, 16 touchdowns, and 2 interceptions.
Auburn, on the other side, lost 3 of their 8 games but their schedule was much tougher than the Aggies’ one. From the ranked teams, they beat Kentucky and the nearly top-25 LSU team and lost to Georgia and Alabama. The main issue they have is on offense because it can’t keep up with the opposition. No matter how good the defense can be, if the offense only scores about 2.5 points more on average, this won’t translate into victories against elite opponents.
Even though I expect Texas A&M to win this one but 6.5 points are too many. Aggies’ QB Mond can easily lose his rhythm as we saw last week and the Auburn Tigers can take this as an advantage. They are playing with a lot of confidence at home and I can’t see them losing by a touchdown.
