In a game from NCAAF Week 2, we will see TCU Horned Frogs at SMU Mustangs.
Betting Prediction:
The TCU Horned Frogs did what they just needed to do last week. They racked up 55 points against Southern and Shawn Robinson threw three touchdown passes with 0 interceptions. The Horned Frogs ran for 235 yards on 42 attempts which is good for 5.6 yards per carry.
The SMU Mustangs started the season with a loss to North Texas, 23-46. Ben Hicks completed half of his passes in the previous game which was good for 252 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. The Mustangs’ running game is averaging 4 yards per carry, being led by Braeden West with 26 yards and one touchdown.
We all know that the SMU Mustangs will turn things around somewhere along the middle of the season as they have a great offensive coaching staff and an experienced quarterback. Hicks will certainly have a better game and he will at least try to complete 60% of his passes. The TCU Horned Frogs are just 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games when favored by at least 15 points, but they usually beat up on the teams they’re supposed to beat up on, and they beat this SMU team last year by 20 points. It is hard to make a case for SMU to cover the spread after their abysmal performance in the first week of the season.
