The Eagles are still having “hangover” from the success they had last year. They ended their 2-game winning streak with an overtime loss to Dallas. Carson Wentz played in that defeat, throwing for 228 passing yards and 3 touchdowns. He was efficient but the defense is nothing compared to what we saw last year. He has 3074 passing yards so far this year with 21 touchdowns and 7 interceptions. The Eagles are scoring 21.7 points per game which is below average and allowing 22.7 points per game.
The Los Angeles Rams are undefeated at home but they lost to the great Bears’ defense last week. They were held to just 6 points and Jared Goff had his worst game of the season. He registered only 180 passing yards, even though he has nearly 4000 passing yards so far with 27 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. The team is averaging 32.7 points per game while allowing 24.1 points.
I expect a home win, however, the Rams’ defense is not that good and I believe that the Eagles will be able to hang in until late in the game. 2 touchdowns are a big winning margin for a team with a shaky defense.
