The Green Bay Packers enter this season with a new head coach Matt LaFleur. There are reports regarding his relationship with Aaron Rodgers that it is not very healthy for both of them. However, the Packers finally have a defense that can bring success to Aaron and offensive weapons that Rodgers can benefit from. They finally have a more reliable running game and this will certainly take some pressure off the shoulders of the QB.
The Chicago Bears are coming off their first playoff appearance since many years. The team has won its last 5 home games behind the great play of Mitch Trubisky. Chicago had one of the best defenses last year and they didn’t lose a key player during the offseason. Offensively, if Trubisky makes the next step as a quarterback, the Bears will be really, really dangerous. The wide receiver core is deep and he has many weapons on the outside.
I believe that the Chicago Bears will have a “hangover” season and especially, Mitch Trubisky as their starting quarterback. I expect to see more of year 1 Trubisky that we never fell in love with. Rodgers faced this great defense twice last year and he knows what it is about. He will find a way to beat them.
