Oregon are coming off a bye week and everyone in the team is rested but since they started 2-0, have combined for four straight losses. Cal defeated two ranked teams like Texas, 50-43 and then Utah, 28-23. Cal has been very impressive at home where they can beat anybody in NCAAF. Oregon are slowly becoming a one-dimensional team on offense as they tend to run the ball more than anybody else in college football. Their passing hasn’t been very impressive but their primary target- Brooks-James is a nightmare matchup for most linebackers. The freshman Justin Herbert completed 24 out of 39 passes in their latest loss when he was given a start for the first time in his career.
The Golden Bears’ offense looks good as Webb has thrown the football for 2256 yards and 22 touchdowns. He is one of the top prospects for the NFL Draft this year. Both defenses are not so good but Cal’s defense had to play against two ranked teams at home and although they allowed many points, their offense was able to put up more points on the board. I think with California’s home field advantage, they won’t have any problems beating Oregon on Friday.
