Betting Prediction:

The Buffalo Bulls had an outstanding season with 10 wins and just 2 losses. The Bulls’ single conference loss came against the good Ohio squad by 35 points. The running game proved to be working very well in the final stretches of the season and Tyree Jackson didn’t throw the ball much. When he did, however, he was solid and he has 25 touchdown passes to 11 interceptions. Buffalo’s pass defense is ranked 13th in the country but the team isn’t that good against the run.

The Northern Illinois Huskies are coming to the MAC title game after losing their last 2 games. They fell 13-7 to Miami Ohio followed by a 28-21 loss to Western Michigan. QB Marcus Childers hasn’t played very well as of late and he threw 4 interceptions in his last 3 games. He has 11 touchdowns passes to 9 interceptions on the year. The Huskies’ offense is not very good and it is averaging 20 points per game while the defense is good and it is allowing 21 points per game.

I don’t think that Northern Illinois will have the ball in this one for long periods of time. Buffalo will run the football and that will prevent the Huskies’ offense from converting because their defense will be on the pitch more than the offense. Eventually, the defense will need its rest, however, this won’t be possible. Buffalo has the needed quality on offense to see of Northern Illinois.
