Although the Chargers have good pieces on offense, they are still struggling at times. We found them down 10-0 at the end of the first quarter against the unconvincing Cardinals’ team. After that, they scored 45 unanswered points, in order to win the game. Philip Rivers had a monster game against Arizona, completing 28 of his 29 throws and he is having a 115 QB rating. Melvin Gordon is getting 5.2 yards per carry and the running game is ranked 7th.
Pittsburgh came to Denver following a 6-game winning streak and it was only natural for them to fall back a little bit after an emotional win over Jacksonville. The Steelers scored just 17 points- their second-lowest total of the year. The running game was not existent and they will need much more from James Conner in this one.
The Chargers haven’t scored that much against top teams on the road. I think that this will be a game where they won’t score more than 20, even though they have a top offense. Pittsburgh will be able to refocus and regroup after struggling in Denver. We all know that Big Ben is lights out at home.
