Betting Prediction:
Sam Darnold played great in week 1 but then he couldn’t find himself against the Dolphins in week 2. Although he threw for 334 yards and a touchdown, he had two interceptions and he fumbled once. Isaiah Crowell is playing very well at the moment, having rushed for 137 yards so far while Darron Lee has two interceptions in the first two games.
Cleveland Brown’s special teams’ woes continued in week 2 as well. If it wasn’t for them, the Browns would have been 2-0 instead of 0-1-1. They showed great character against two of the contenders in the NFL- Pittsburgh Steelers and New Orleans Saints. It was very impressive to see them shutting down almost completely the offensive game of the Saints in New Orleans. We’re usually expecting to see Drew Brees having great games at home but not this time when the Browns’ defense was going after him on every play.
Baker Mayfield hasn’t seen a snap so far and this will likely continue on Thursday. Tyrod Taylor is very efficient and if he gets help from his special teams, the Browns will cover the spread and finally win a game. Sam Darnold will face the best defense he’s seen so far and I expect him to have a quiet game.
