Montana State is 11-3 on the year and the team has one of the better defenses in the FCS. They rarely allow more than 20 points and if they do, they usually lose the games. Last time out, they beat the 11-4 Austin Peay Governors 24-10 behind the great play of RB Isaiah Ifanse who finished the game with 196 rushing yards and 1 touchdown. QB Tucker Rovig added 114 passing yards and a touchdown to his stats in the victory.
The North Dakota State Bison had a very strange game against the Illinois State Redbirds. They beat them 9-3 and it was a big struggle for the most part. QB Trey Lance finished with just 135 passing yards and he completed just below 50% of his throws. The running game was also missing and the team barely converted on third downs. The Bison were completely shut down in the second half and they will be glad that they sneaked into the next round.
Last time out, the North Dakota State Bison looked really vulnerable. I believe that they will still win it all at the end but 16 points are too much, having in mind that they failed to cover the spread big time in their previous win.
