In a game from NCAA Basketball, we will see Michigan State at Kansas.
Betting Prediction:
The last time Michigan State and Kansas met each other was in the second round of the NCAA tournament last year when Kansas won by 20 points. Things don’t look good for Michigan State this year as they lost both of their star players from last year- Miles Bridges who was their leading scorer and the big man Jaren Jackson Jr. who averaged 11 points and 6 rebounds per game. Aaron Henry and Foster Loyer will certainly have an impact on the season but I think it is too early for them to dominate.
Kansas still has recruiting issues. The Jayhawks’ top recruit from last season Billy Preston never played a game due to NCAA allegations and then wound up in Bosnia. Their top scorers Graham, Newman and Mykhailiuk are all gone and Kansas needs to get younger. Devon Dotson will need to replace Graham which will be a really hard task. He averaged 28.5 points per game and 5 assists per game in high school and I expect him to have a good campaign here as well. Quentin Grimes is another top high school prospect while senior Lagerald Vick will be the help in the paint.
Home crowd advantage and better young prospects means a win to me and I also believe that the Jayhawks will cover the spread because they are better offensively than their opponents.
