Miami Ohio had a decent season but I’m sure their fans expected more than a 6-6 record. The Redhawks participated in a lot of close games this season and the bad thing about them was that they lost all of them. This is mainly because Miami Ohio has a bad red-zone offense and even though they gain a lot of yardage, they can’t score as many points as they would’ve liked. The team averages 282.6 passing yards and 143 rushing yards per game for 29.1 points.
North Texas is 6-6 with a great rushing game. The Mean Green can really bully their opponents and are ranked 3rd in the league with 246.2 rushing yards per game. Early on in the season, they tried to mix passing with rushing, and during that period they had a 1-6 record. Now, when they switched to a dominant rushing game, they are 5-0.
Miami Ohio has a decent defense against the rush but UNT are beasts. Both defenses look similar to each other with Miami Ohio having a slight advantage over North Texas, but I don’t think Miami Ohio will stand a chance against the red-hot team in recent weeks with a dominant rushing game.
