In NFL Preseason Week 1, we will see Los Angeles Rams at Oakland Raiders.
Betting Prediction:
The Los Angeles Rams had a very successful 2018 NFL season. They finished 13-3 behind the great play of their offense, being led by Jared Goff, Todd Gurley, Robert Woods, and Brandin Cooks. McVay proved to be a very successful young head coach and he is looking to improve from last year. The Rams acquired Clay Matthews from Green Bay who continues to be an elite linebacker. The secondary core is respectable, even though it doesn’t perform very well.
The Oakland Raiders will be a totally different picture this year. They signed Antonio Brown as a free agent but they lost Jared Cook. Derek Carr will expect improvement in his game because he has been a shell of his rookie self. Vontaze Burfict will continue to be the Raiders’ leading player on defense and he will be the mentor of the young Clelin Ferrell who was selected 4th overall in the 2019 NFL Draft.
The Raiders were one of the worst teams last year and they also lost many players due to free agency. They also departed ways with Amari Cooper during the 2018 season. The Rams will play with their backup squad in this one but I think that it is better than what the Raiders can offer.
