The James Madison Dukes had a fantastic season. They only lost in week 1 and they are 14-0 since then. The team was not expected to get to the FCS Championship game but they deserved it more than anybody. The team’s offense is solid and the defense proved to be good as well as we saw in the playoffs. QB Ben DiNucci is completing 71% of his throws for 3237 yards, 27 touchdowns, and 5 interceptions while RB duo Percy Agyei-Obese and Jawon Hamilton are combining for over 2000 rushing yards and 24 touchdowns.
North Dakota State is undefeated once again. After their unconvincing game against Illinois State where they beat them 9-3, they managed to take it all out on the Montana State Bobcats who were 11-3. They beat them 42-14 with Trey Lance throwing 3 touchdown passes and also having 223 passing yards. WR Christian Watson was the team’s leading rusher and receiver. The Bison use too many tricks plays on offense and they include him in the running through sweeps.
Too many people fell in love with James Madison‘s boys this year. They have done an amazing job but the Bison are still much better. The defense they offer is just out of this world. They held Illinois State to just 3 points and Montana State to 14. I also believe they have a more efficient offense and they will take the opposition’s running game, for sure.
