The Jacksonville Jaguars did not have any success the last 3 seasons and in all of these seasons, they replaced their head coach. A lot of expectations are put on QB Trevor Lawrence. He should definitely have a better second year as he did not have a good offensive line and a decent defense last season. The Jaguars spent all their draft picks to give Lawrence a better offensive line and an improved defense so that Lawrence does not have to trail from the beginning of every game.
The Washington Commanders had a decent season under head coach Ron Rivera last year. They managed to get 7 wins and looked great except on the QB spot. They got QB Carson Wentz this season who they are hoping to get the most out of. However, Wentz had a couple of bad seasons. Rivera will most likely run the football more, and the defense should be able to make stops when needed, as it is loaded.
The Jaguars are definitely more exciting this season. I do not expect to start with improved performances from week 1 on the road against one of the elite defenses in football. The Commanders won 7 games with a backup QB last year, and even though Wentz is a concern, he will provide them with a better record.
