Even though Aaron Rodgers is supposed to lead the Green Bay Packers to victories, a different Aaron stepped up for Green Bay on Sunday. Running back Aaron Jones rushed for 145 yards and two touchdowns while Rodgers helped him with 199 passing yards and 2 touchdowns as well. Randall Cobb is currently injured and he is not expected to play on Thursday, potentially putting the Packers’ aspirations at risk.
The Seattle Seahawks lost by 5 points on Sunday against the Rams but this could be considered as a good performance. Russell Wilson had a monster game, throwing for 3 touchdowns and rushing for 92 yards. The Seahawks are playing amazing football on offense due to their good rushing attack. Rashaad Penny proved to be the missing piece in the Seahawks’ team, finally resurrecting their running game. He finished last game with 108 yards and a touchdown.
The Seahawks are only allowing 21.3 points per game but I expect Green Bay to score more than that on Thursday. The 49.5 over/under line seems a bit low to me, given the fact that the Seahawks are a good offensive team which will be playing at home against a weak defense while on the other side we have Aaron Rodgers who will not settle for less than 2 touchdown passes.
