In a game from NCAA Basketball, we will see Georgia Tech at Tennessee.
Betting Prediction:
Georgia Tech opened the season with an easy win over Lamar by 19 points. 4 players scored in double figures, being led by Brandon Alston with 17 points and Jose Alvarado with 14. The team recorded 26 assists and the basketball they played was nearly perfect in the first half. They will need more of the same in this one when they will be going up against a Tennessee team that is in the AP Top 5. We need to have in mind that their head coach Pastner is 4-11 against ranked teams in his career.
This could be considered a warm-up for Tennessee, having in mind that they will face Louisville and either Kansas or Marquette next week. The Volunteers started the season with two wins- one against a second-tier opponent such as Lenoir-Rhyne and one against Louisiana-Lafayette by 22 points. All five starters finished in double digits and even though they lack any star players, they seem to be playing very well and you can see the cohesion between them.
Turner will be missing for the Volunteers and I think that 16 points to give to a power conference team is too much. Georgia Tech will be able to hang around because offensively they are very good and I expect this game to be closer than most expect.
