Expect lots of play action from QBs Tyrod Taylor and Davis Webb in this first game against the Patriots. Tyrod Taylor is an experienced QB who has excellent experience in the NFL and will definitely put points on the board for New York. At the same time, Davis Webb has almost no NFL experience and will be interesting to see the youngster in this environment. He’s played in just 1 game but did not have any passing attempts in it.
For the Patriots, you can expect to see QBs Brian Hoyer and Bailey Zappe in play. Hoyer has played lots of seasons in the NFL, even though he was never considered to be a franchise QB. He’s had difficult times in the league but has always been able to stick around the league and have a job as a backup QB. Zappe is a rookie who would like to find his spot in the league. He showed promising talent in college but is still very raw to compete for any place in the league.
Tyrod Taylor is definitely the best out of these 4 QBs who will play on Thursday. However, I don’t expect him to play that much to make a difference. Hoyer might get more snaps than him and have a bigger influence because Bellichick might consider Zappe unready.
