In NCAA Football game, we will see Florida at Michigan.
The Florida Gators enter the most anticipated bowl game with 9-3 record and riding on a 3-game winning streak. They went 2-1 against ranked opponents this season, including a win over LSU. QB Feleipe Franks had a good season, throwing for 2284 yards with 23 touchdowns and 6 interceptions. The real threat on offense is, however, the running game which has been solid all year long. The Gators offense averages 34.5 points per game while allowing just 20.4 points per game.
The Michigan Wolverines were almost a sure candidate to go to the postseason before falling to Ohio State in the season finale, 62-39, and missing out on the playoffs. QB Shea Patterson didn’t put up big numbers in this run-oriented offense but he still finished with 2364 passing yards, 21 touchdowns, and 5 interceptions. The leading rusher for the Wolverines- Karan Higdon announced that he won’t be playing in this one, in order to prepare for the NFL Draft. TE Zach Gentry is questionable due to an injury.
Most of the experts expect the Wolverines to bounce back in this one and win the bowl game. Even though this might be true, I still believe that it won’t come easily. There will be many missing players for Michigan and given the fact that they will be facing a very balanced and well-coached team, I expect the Gators to cover the spread.
