Many expected them to bounce back from the Clemson loss with a decisive victory but it turned out that QB Jake Bentley didn’t play well at all, completing a bit over 50% of his passes and having 3 touchdowns and 2 interceptions. They still managed to get away with a 28-3 win over Akron because the opponents weren’t able to score against the stifling defense in this one.
Virginia thought that they were in for a special season while having 6 wins and 2 losses after the first 8 games but then they faced Pittsburgh, Georgia Tech and Virginia Tech and they lost all of those games. They are careless with the ball and there are many turnovers in their games.
I expect South Carolina’s offense to bounce back in this one and hand Virginia its third consecutive loss. I don’t believe Virginia can keep up with the Gamecocks’ offensive capabilities and they will fall behind even early in the game.
