The Philadelphia Eagles continue with a mix of good and bad performances. Just as we started considering them as a Super Bowl contender, they managed to lose against the Vikings in a game where Kirk Cousins looked like an MVP candidate. QB Carson Wentz finished with 306 passing yards, 2 touchdowns and 1 pick but the big problem was that the Eagles once again couldn’t run the ball. Jordan Howard finished with just 49 yards on 13 carries.
The Dallas Cowboys are the same picture. They started strongly with 3 wins in their first 3 games but they were against much weaker sides like the Giants, Redskins and the Dolphins. Last time out, they even lost to the winless Jets. QB Dak Prescott is having trouble passing the ball in the last few weeks. Overall, he has completed 69% of his throws for 1883 yards, 11 touchdowns and 6 interceptions.
The Philadelphia Eagles continue to miss Ronald Darby and Avonte Maddox due to injuries in the secondary. WR DeSean Jackson is also on the injury list while on the Cowboys’ side two offensive tackles will be missing which is good news for Fletcher Cox. WR Randall Cobb is also out of the playbook for this one. With all that being said, I think that the Eagles have the better pieces both on offense and defense for this particular game and will cover the spread.
