In NFL Preseason Week 1, we will see Dallas Cowboys at San Francisco 49ers.
Betting Prediction:
The Dallas Cowboys made many significant re-signings during the summer. They managed to keep both Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott but they also gave them big money. Randall Cobb will be the second wide receiver choice and the offense finally looks good. The Cowboys’ defense is very solid and if their key players manage to stay injury-free, they will be in for a playoff spot. The battle between the backup QBs- Cooper Rush and Mike White will be an interesting one because both players didn’t do enough to convince us that they deserve a job in the NFL.
On the other side, we have the 49ers who are finally healthy. Kyle Shanahan can rely on Jimmy Garoppolo for the first time since many years in the postseason. The receiving core looks great and the offensive-minded head coach will certainly benefit from it. The 49ers also added Richard Sherman to a defense that was dominant even before that.
I expect Dak Prescott and most of the offensive core to be rested and they will play 1 or 2 drives. Jimmy G will certainly take more snaps and even when he is not playing, the backup QBs will play. And we all know that they played all year long last season. With that being said, the 49ers look destined to win this one.
