Colorado State is atrocious this year. The team is 1-5 and their only win came against Western Illinois. They gave up over 40 points three times so far and the offense can’t keep up. The offense doesn’t even get on the field for the most part because the defense is busy giving up points. QB Collin Hill has completed 67.3% of his throws so far for 837 yards, 8 touchdowns, and 2 interceptions. RB Marvin Kinsley is the force on offense with 618 yards and 4 touchdowns.
The New Mexico Lobos also have a very bad defense and it will be interesting to see how they will fare in this one. They have many quarterback questions with Tevaka Tuioti running the show for now but he is completing just 49% of his passes for 660 yards, 4 touchdowns, and 4 interceptions. RB Ahmari Davis has 457 yards so far with 4 touchdowns.
Both teams are struggling at the moment but I believe that the trouble on the Lobos’ side is bigger. They still haven’t figured out the quarterback situation and I doubt that they will be able to move the chains.
