The Kansas City Chiefs have all sorts of problems on defense. They are just coming off a 35-32 loss on the road against the Tennessee Titans. Patrick Mahomes was again sensational with 36 completed passes out of 50 attempted, 446 yards and 3 touchdowns. Damien Williams added 77 on the ground but the opposing running back Derrick Henry put 188 on them with 2 rushing touchdowns.
Bad news for Kansas City– the team with one of the worst rushing defenses, Melvin Gordon is back. He returned in their 26-24 loss to Oakland a week ago and he delivered. Gordon finished with 108 yards and a touchdown on 22 carries while Philipp Rivers was inconsistent with 207 yards, 2 touchdown passes and 3 interceptions.
I expect the Chargers to keep the ball away from Patrick Mahomes. They did the same thing to Aaron Rodgers at Lambeau and they won. I expect the same thing to happen on Monday night as well and I will take the free three points with the home team.
