Betting Prediction:
Corey Kluber will start on short rest for the Indians. He has been terrific throughout the regular season and the postseason. He didn’t allow a single run when he was rested normally but he allowed 3 runs in 11 innings on short rest which is still incredible. He had 3 days of rest before going into crucial game 7 where Cubs’ hitters will have an advantage over him because they have seen him 2 times already in the last week.
Kyle Hendricks is going to start for the Cubs because he is their best option at the moment. He led the MLB with a 2.13 ERA during the regular season and his best performance of the season came in the playoffs against Clayton Kershaw in the crucial game 6. The Cubs may go to the bullpen earlier once again.
This will be a battle between two of the best pitchers this season and whoever is able to shut down the opposition’s offense will win. I believe the Indians have more power on offense and this will deliver them the title in front of their own crowd.
