The Central Connecticut Blue Devils have a great season and they are playing exceptionally well. The team has just 1 loss and it came against a school with a much better program- Eastern Michigan. It is important to mention that they lost the game by just 5 points and they were competitive for the whole game. Last time out, the ground game wasn’t that effective but the Blue Devils still secured the victory with good defensive plays.
Albany is another team that deserves a mention for its great season. The Great Danes are 8-4 and on a 3-game winning streak. Their offense is not that explosive but their defense is much better. Last time out, they allowed 26 points to Stony Brook but the opposite side gained just 75 yards on the ground. On their end, RB Karl Mofor terrorized the Seawolves’ defense with a great performance, including 176 rushing yards and 3 touchdowns.
Central Connecticut has the potential to upset Albany on the road but they lack enough QB play. I expect the Albany defense to neutralize the passing game and this will give them an advantage.
