Panthers lost two of their first three games throughout the new season and now they are looking to beat the Falcons in a rivalry matchup. I think Cam Newton will bounce back as he had a horrendous performance against the Vikings and he was a shell of himself. Falcons’ defense allowed 35 points to Drew Brees last week but they managed to score 42. I don’t think they can score 42 again this week and Panthers’ defense will finally play like it used to last year. Julio Jones will probably be targeted more this week as I don’t think Atlanta’s running game will be as effective as it was against the Saints.

Panthers’ offense will depend on Cam Newton’s accuracy which wasn’t great against the Vikings but I think it will be much more improved on Sunday. I predict a win for the Carolina Panthers on the road, although they tend to have difficulties playing at Georgia Dome.
