The TCU Horned Frogs were good last season until Fisher got injured for the remainder of the season and they went 8-8 in that period. He won’t be playing in the first games of the new season but Alex Robinson and Desmond Bane return and they should be able to replace his effectiveness. Sophomore Kouat Noi and senior JD Miller will be very important due to their big presence in the paint.
Cal State has an experienced backcourt, including Rickey Holden who averaged 10.7 points and 2.8 assists last year and Jarkel Joiner(10.4 points). The Roadrunners are fast-paced but not big. It will certainly be a battle between the two backcourts because both are really good.
The Roadrunners are one of the smallest teams in college basketball and I expect them to be bullied by the big guys from TCU. Bane led the Big 12 in 3-point shooting last year and I expect him to have a good game shooting behind the arc in this one which will give an advantage to TCU.
