Bowling Green has been awfully bad this season. They are 3-6 and they have multiple games where they scored 10 points or less. They were even shut down twice. QB Grant Loy is completing 57% of his throws for 792 yards, 5 touchdowns, and 7 interceptions while Darius Wide has 675 passing yards, 3 TDs, and 3 picks. Grant Loy, however, is the leading rusher of the team and I expect him to start in this one.
Miami Ohio is just coming off a very prestigious 24-21 win over their rivals of Ohio. QB Brett Gabbert is completing just 53.3% of his throws for 1509 yards, 6 touchdowns, and 5 interceptions. He is a freshman and we all expect him to be inconsistent but there are times where he is showing signs of brilliance. It still won’t get drafted in any of the first few round in 3 or 4 years but he will be a solid college QB.
The running game is really going well for Miami Ohio and I expect them to deliver in this one. Bowling Green is playing so badly that I doubt that they will be able to do much here.
