Auburn started the season with a win over another ranked side- Kentucky. They beat them 29-13 in a game where QB Bo Nix performed very well. He finished the game with 233 passing yards and 3 touchdowns but the rushing game was a problem. Anyway, they got the W but this is concerning. The Tigers also allowed 239 yards through the air and they just could not contain WR Josh Ali.
On the other side, we have a Georgia team that lost Jake Fromm and D’Andre Swift to the NFL. These were the leading forces for the Bulldogs this past couple of years but the future looked bright in their first game. QB Stetson Bennett completed 20 out of 29 passes for 211 yards and 2 touchdowns while RB Zamir White added 71 yards and a touchdown on 13 carries in their game against Arkansas. Georgia will still be solid this year but the transition from Fromm and Swift will definitely not be easy.
Both teams won their first games but Auburn played against a ranked side while Georgia had to face Arkansas. The Tigers might struggle a bit on defense but overall, I think it’s just the home factor that’s giving Georgia the advantage. Bo Nix will do his thing and might even win the game.
